Terms of use
Last updated: July 23, 2026
The service
Focushours is a free weekly focus-hour tracker. It works entirely on your device without an account; signing in is optional and only adds sync across your devices. How your data is handled is covered by the privacy policy.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. There's no promise of uptime, of fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be free of bugs. We work hard to keep your data safe (local-first storage, EU hosting, backups of nothing you didn't choose to sync), but you use Focushours at your own risk, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses or damages that come from using it, including lost data. Keeping independent records of anything critical is on you.
Fair use
Don't abuse it. In particular, don't:
- use the service for anything illegal,
- try to break into, disrupt, overload, or reverse the service or other people's data,
- hammer the sync service with automated or bulk traffic,
- resell or misrepresent the service as your own.
Accounts that abuse the service can be suspended or removed.
Your data
Everything you put into Focushours is yours. We claim no ownership or license over it beyond what's needed to store and sync it for you. You can delete your account and all synced data yourself, instantly, from inside the app.
Your account
Sign-in happens through Google or an emailed magic link, so keeping the email account you sign in with secure is your responsibility. You can leave at any time; deleting your account removes everything we hold.
Changes
These terms may change as Focushours grows. The date at the top will tell you when they last did, and meaningful changes will be visible here before they apply. Using the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
